System Flushing is now a requirement under Part L of the Building Regulations when replacing an old boiler with a new Energy Efficient condensing boiler.

What is a power-flush?
It's the removal of sludge, rust and other debris from central heating systems using a water and chemical-based mixture which is pumped through the system at a high velocity.

Pump Seizure
Black oxide sludge is magnetic and abrasive. It puts excess pressure and wear on pump bearings which is one of the most common causes of pump faliure.

Quick and Simple Service
We simply connect our equipment to your pump or radiators, add some chemicals to desludge your system and then cleanse it. Most power-flushers can be done in just one visit. It is a clean and efficent service.

Flushing will clean a central heating system, improve radiator performance and actually get non working radiators working again, energy efficiency and overallheat output.

Reduce the risk of boiler failure
Assuming that no other faults exist, accumulated deposits of sludge and scale can restrict the transfer of heat to the extent that the boiler can overheat and fracture on an unmaintained system. Power-flushing reduces the likelihood of this occurring.

Reduces Fuel Bills
In untreated systems, corrosion particles can accumulate in pipework. 3mm of limescale inside your domestic boiler can add 18% to yourfuel bill. Curent British Standard require that prior to a new boiler installation, the system must be cleaned. Power-flushing is the best way to do this.

It is also a recommendation under part L of the Building Regulations that Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV’s) are fitted to all bedroom radiators. Although this not a full legal requirement, it is prudent to consider having this done at the same time as the power-flush, while the heating system is drained.

Once the power-flushing is complete the heating system has chemicals introduced to stop any further corrosion of the system.

Reasons to power-flush

  • More efficient central heating and hot water
  • Optimum working hot radiators and hot water
  • Corrosion protected central heating
  • Scale protected system
  • Lower fuel bills
  • Peace of mind
  • Central heating system cleaned as thoroughly as possible
